Guiding a global movement with purpose and integrity
The International WIM Alliance is built on collaboration, transparency, and shared leadership. Our governance structure ensures we stay true to our mission, reflect the diversity of our global community, and deliver meaningful impact.
We balance two core priorities:
- Internally: Supporting WIM organisations to connect, grow, and share resources
- Externally: Advocating for gender equality and inclusion across the global mining sector
At the heart of this work are the Steering Committee, the Functional Committees, and the Secretariat, working together to keep the Alliance focused, effective, and representative.
Our actions are guided by the values of respect, inclusivity, collaboration, integrity, and transparency.

The Steering Committee
A global leadership team driving our mission forward.
The Steering Committee (SteerCo) is the leadership body of the International WIM Alliance. It brings together representatives from WIM organisations around the world, alongside the Alliance Secretariat.
